Show Opening
Jim Ross: The Compaq Center in Houston, Texas is sold-out! The hottest action in television series, this is WWF Raw is War! Hello everybody I'm Jim Ross joining you from ringside along with the future mayor of Memphis, Jerry "The King" Lawler. And King we begin a new era tonight because this will be the first Monday Night that Mankind is WWF Champion. ("No Chance" hits the PA system. The WWF President Vince McMahon walks out to the ring solely by himself. He slowly struts into the ring. Ringside personnel hand him a microphone.) Vince McMahon: For those of you who don't believe that anything can happen in the World Wrestling Federation. I guess you're a believer now. You see, last night when the Corporation was provoked by Mankind, The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. We had to take matters into our own hands. And it wasn't about the WWF Title. Nope, it was simply about kicking The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin's ass. And thanks to Kurt Angle, Mankind became this company's World Champion. But being the Champion is all business. And as you all know, per a previous contract, The Rock is now the new number one contender. I live up to my word as the World Wrestling Federation President. You see I'm announcing the main event at WrestleMania One with Mankind defending his Championship against... ("If Ya Smellllllll" hits the WWF in-house PA System with the crowd exploding and The Rock walking out towards the ring.) The Rock: First of all let the Rock say this. Even though I still hate your guts and you probably still hate The Rock, I will say this. This place hasn't been the same without your candy ass! Now if The Rock understands you correctly, you were just about to announce him as the number one contender at WrestleMania now weren't you? And taken your feelings out of the WrestleMania Main Event you will keep it Mankind versus The Rock. But I know your roody poo candy ass is itching to get a Corporation member into that main event. Vince McMahon: I can't engage in any conversation further with you Rock about my endeavors with The Corporation. I simply can't do that. I was not going to announce you as the number one contender for the WWF Title. ("Here Comes The Money" blasts over the sound system and Shane McMahon struts out onto the stage.) Shane McMahon: Listen up Father! I don't know what you're trying to pull. But I have every right as the World Wrestling Federation Commissioner to book the main event of WrestleMania. But I'm curious Vince. Even after The Rock proved he's the number one contender, you still choose to mettle in the WWF Title picture. I cannot let that happen. (Suddenly, Jeff Jarrett appears from underneath the ring, sneaks in behind The Rock and nails him in the head with a guitar.)
Brothers of Destruction
The former WWF Tag Team Champions decide who is in the ring first. Billy Gunn takes the ring first. Kane stands on the outside of the ring with Undertaker starting the match. Billy takes the fight to Taker. They go back and forth. Taker gets the upperhand with a few big power moves. Gunn tags in Road Dogg. Road Dogg takes Taker out. Kane eventually enters the ring. A four way brawl ensues. Mike Chioda tries to regain order. Undertaker ends the match with a Tombstone Piledriver Winners: Brothers of Destruction (Backstage, The Acolytes are watching the tag team match on a monitor.)
Stone Cold Steve Austin
Jeff Jarrett and Triple H team up against Stone Cold for a duration of the match. Austin gains momentum and hits a Stunner on Triple H taking him out. Bossman finagles his way to the ring with Jarrett's guitar. Bossman is able to distract referee Tim White long enough and slides Jarrett's guitar in. Jarrett cracks Austin in the head with the guitar followed by the Stroke on Triple H for the 1...2...3. Winner: Jeff Jarrett
Non-Title Match
Viscera
The IC Champion versus the European Champion for the first time ever. Val Venis and Viscera start throwing punches. Viscera eventually uses his brute strength to back Venis into a corner. Viscera charges for big splash in the corner but Venis dodges out of the way. Viscera crashes hard into the turnbuckles which shakes the ring. Venis trips Viscera up and gets him to the mat. Bossman sneaks his way to the ring with his nightstick. Bossman is calling out to Viscera. Viscera gets back up. He irish whips Venis into Bossman who has the nightstick. But NO Venis reverses and Bossman and Viscera collide. Bossman falls to the outside and Viscera to the mat. Venis scales the ropes and coming off for the Money Shot and the victory out of nowhere. Winner by pinfall Val Venis (Michael Cole is standing by with the WWF Champion Mankind.) Michael Cole: Well a big win for your tag team partner Val Venis but Mankindv what about the attack after your big title win at St. Valentine's Day Massacre? Mankind: Michael Cole, know your mouth and shut your role. The video evidence is very clear. Mankind was just getting his second wind when The Rock came in for the save. Not because I needed it but that's what mutual friends do. So Big Bossman and Viscera, I'm challenging you both Thursday Night on Smackdown! (The Rock appears on camera.) The Rock: A bunch of monkey crap! Jeff Jarrett broke the Rock's rolex! Shang-Tounge, specially made for The Rock. The Rock was minding his own business. Walking into the ring with Vince McMahon. I wasn't scheduled to layeth the smack it down tonight. What was the guy who hit me in the head Michael? Micahel Cole: Jeff.... The Rock: IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT HIS NAME WAS! The fact of the matter is this.. Michael Cole you're piercing a hole through The Rock's head you're looking at him like. HONEY! Give The Rock a t-shirt. (Rock is handed a t-shirt which he drapes over Michael Cole's head.) The Rock: You keep your head right there jambroni with The Rock's electrifying t-shirt. Corporation, Jeff Jarrett, you run your mouth about The Rock and you just unturned a stone that has never been turned over before. Checks that the Rock's ass can't cash because The Rock talks trash! You act like nobody knows The Rock talks trash. The Rock lives breaths, walks, talks trash all day long! Matter of fact, Vinnie Mac. The Rock talks trash in his sleep! The fact of the matter is this. Come Smackdown! SHHH SHHH SHHH! I'm teaming up with Mankind to whoop the Corporation's roody poo candy ass! If you smell what The Rock is cookin'! (The Rock walks off. Mankind takes the t-shirt off Cole's head.) Mankind: Rock? Can I keep the shirt? And in case you're wondering you sick-o Michael Cole, things between me and The Rock are strictly platonic.
Main Event
Chris Jericho
Raw is Jericho announced by Y2J himself coming out to a capacity crowd for the main event. "Welllllll it's The Big Show" comes out to the ring. A huge main event for Raw is War with referee Earl Hebner calling for the bell to start the match. Big Show comes at Jericho with a big right hook but Jericho ducks under and takes the fight to show. Jericho with a few punches backing up Big Show up against the ropes. Jericho tries an irish whip but Big Show reverses it and brings Jericho back into him for a big clothesline. He then kicks Jericho in the gut hard sending him to the outside. Big Show walks over the top rope to the outside and delivers a big head butt, Jericho flies into the crowd barriers. Big Show picks up Jericho and gorilla presses him back into the ring. Big Show follows. Y2J uses the corner to hoist himself up. Big Show charges and Jericho ducks out of the way. Jericho climbs the top rope and comes off with a missile drop kick taking Big Show down. A quick cover but no. Jericho comes off the ropes with an elbow drop into Big Show's back. Big Show is working up on all fours but Jericho again with an elbow drop to Big Show's back. The crowd pops with X-Pac appearing with the WWF Hardcore title around his waist and a steel chair in his hand. Jericho becomes distracted. Big Show is now up. Jericho turns around into a huge Chokeslam!!! Big Show covers as Hebner counts three. Howard Finkel: Here is your winner... THE BIG SHOW!!!! (Following the match, X-Pac climbs the top rope without Big Show knowing. Big Show turns around as X-Pac comes off the top rope with a spinning wheel kick to Show's head. X-Pac grabs the steel chair now. Big Show gets up to one knee an X-Pac destroys him in the head with the steel chair. Big Show starts bleeding. X-Pac turns around and Jericho takes him off his feet and locks on the Walls of Jericho!) Jerry Lawler: X-Pac stuck his nose in Chris Jericho's business. I'm sure Y2J is not happy about that. This isn't the end of this one. X-Pac claims he is a fighting champion. He takes pride in that piece of garbage Hardcore title. Jim Ross: For the King, this is JR, we will see you on Smackdown!
